Finding Your Partner Online

The Pros:
- Get over “only losers” go online- ask the people who met their partner online
- You have a LOT of people available to you- you won’t run out of options
- Insist on hard core values for the person you connect with- do you care if they smoke or are religious or have been married before/have children.
- You can focus on “getting to know the person” by asking a lot of questions on email/text messaging.
- You only respond to those that interest you- no face to face turn downs
The Cons:
- Lying is rampant- but those you meet anywhere by any means may also be lying
- The internet can be dangerous - check the person out.
- Be aware that you can fall in love very quickly online. Be careful.
- You can’t assess chemistry through a computer screen.
Things to do:
Get out there and start fishing. If you find someone you really “click” with, plan to meet with them to see if you have “chemistry.” Take a friend with you and/or meet in a public place.
